What is WILD Turmeric?
Wild turmeric thrives naturally in the Fijian forests, and is not commercially cultivated. Essentially, mother natures creation.
Local Communities gather it for personal use. It stands out due to its unique earthy taste and vibrant color. it contains higher levels of curcumin, the active component that contributes to its health benefit. It was last measured at almost 20% (19.4%) curcumin content.
The colour of Fijian Turmeric is also very vibrant, closer to an orange/Reddish colour,. Much different to the yellow colour, found typically in Asian countries. The deeper colours are due to the rich, dark soil, which contains higher levels or iron.
What is WILD Organic Turmeric?
It is exactly the same, however a section of the forest, which has been soil tested, wick is known as "implied organic", for commercial packaging purposes only.
What is the process?
Fresh Turmeric is picked by local gatherers, thoroughly cleaned in fresh river water, boiled slowly with an open woodfire stove, SUN DRIED and then ground into powder form. No chemical, or foreign, unnatural process has been used.
Enjoy the REAL TASTE of turmeric.
